Saira Lakhan
Managing Partner
Ms. Saira Lakhan studied law at the University of the West Indies, at both the St. Augustine and Cave Hill Campuses, where she graduated with Honours in 2008. In 2010, Ms. Lakhan graduated from the Hugh Wooding Law School, St. Augustine, where she obtained her Legal Education Certificate and placed on the Principal’s Roll of Honour.
In October 2010, Ms. Lakhan was admitted to the Bar of Trinidad and Tobago and in April 2019 Ms. Lakhan was called to the bar as a Barrister and Solicitor in the Federation of Saint Christopher and Nevis. Since then she has provided legal representation in a wide range of matters in civil jurisdiction of our Courts, most notably in family law, insurance law, industrial law, land law, estate law and commercial law. Indeed, Ms. Lakhan has appeared before the High Court, the Industrial Court, the Tax Appeal Board and the Court of Appeal in Trinidad and Tobago, and she has appeared in matters before the Judicial Committee of the Privy Council.
In 2019, Ms. Lakhan obtained a Masters in Business Administration with Merit from the Anglia Ruskin University, United Kingdom. Ms. Lakhan is also a certified mediator with the Mediation Board of Trinidad and Tobago and she is an arbitrator with the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators in the United Kingdom. Ms. Lakhan also has specialised training in civil and family mediation.
During the period 2014-2015, Ms. Lakhan served on the Board of Directors of the Agricultural Development Bank as its Deputy Chairman. Ms. Lakhan previously served as Treasurer of the Assembly of Southern Lawyers until 2024 when she was elected to serve as President.
Ms. Lakhan is a Rotarian attached to Rotary International and she volunteers at the Rotary Club of Felicity/Charlieville. She also serves as a Senior Ordinary Member of the Law Association of Trinidad and Tobago and sits on both the Commonwealth Lawyers Association and International Bar Association.
Kristian Stacy Dass
Junior Partner
Ms. Kristian Stacy Dass is the firm’s junior partner and practises a broad range of Civil Litigation, most notably in Family Law, Land Law, Industrial Law, Commercial Law, Judicial Review and non-contentious matters.
Prior to joining the firm Ms. Dass graduated from the University of London International Programmes with her Bachelor of Laws in 2016. She then pursued and obtained her Legal Practice Course at the University of Westminster in 2017.
In May 2018, Ms. Dass was admitted to the Bar of Trinidad and Tobago and in January 2022, Ms. Dass was called to the Bar of the State of California, U.S.A. She is licensed by the California State Bar to practise as an attorney.
Since then, she has provided legal representation in a multitude of matters in the civil jurisdiction of our Courts. Ms. Dass has appeared before the Magistrates Court, High Court and Industrial Court of Trinidad and Tobago. Additionally, she has made appearances in Mediation proceedings. She has also assisted in the preparation of Arbitration matters and matters before the Court of Appeal.
She is committed to providing excellent legal services to her clients.
Ms. Dass has served as a Trustee for the Assembly of Southern Lawyers since 2022 and was recently elected as Treasurer for the 2024-2025 period.
When Ms. Dass isn’t practising law she enjoys spending her leisure time travelling, with her family and volunteering at legal clinics.
In 2018, Ms. Raesa Mohammed graduated from A.S.J.A. Girls’ College, San Fernando, where she was awarded a National Scholarship in Mathematics. She subsequently pursued her L.L.B at the University of the West Indies, St. Augustine campus where she graduated with honours in 2021. Ms. Mohammed then obtained her Legal Education Certificate from the Hugh Wooding Law School and was admitted to practice law in Trinidad and Tobago in November 2023.
Ms. Mohammed joined Magnus Attorneys-at-Law in 2023 where she developed a passion for Civil Litigation, namely Family Law, Estate law and Industrial Law.
In her free time, Ms. Mohammed enjoys lawn tennis, fiction novels and spending time with friends and family.
Ms. Devi Ramnarine graduated from Naparima Girls’ High School in 2018. She then studied law at the University of the West Indies, St. Augustine, where she graduated with Honours in 2021. In 2023, Ms. Ramnarine graduated from the Council of Legal Education, Hugh Wooding Law School where she obtained her Legal Education Certificate and placed on the Principal’s Roll of Honour.
Ms. Ramnarine was the 2023 recipient of the Keith S. Sobion Memorial Prize (Demonstrated Leadership and Initiative) and the Council of Legal Education Prize (Demonstrated Leadership and Initiative). While at the Hugh Wooding Law School, Ms. Ramnarine was heavily involved in mooting competitions, including the American Caribbean Law Initiative (ACLI) and the 13th Annual CCJ International Law Moot Competition.
She also sat on the Executive of the Student Representative Council and served as both the Editorial Team Lead for the Gavel Committee and the Public Relations Officer for the Hindu Students’ Society.
In November 2023, Ms. Ramnarine was admitted to the Bar of Trinidad and Tobago. Since then, she has provided legal representation in an array of civil, family, estate, industrial, and public law matters.
Beyond the law, Ms. Ramnarine currently serves as a volunteer member of the Trinidad and Tobago National Chapter of the Caribbean Women in Leadership (CiWIL) Organisation. In her free time, she enjoys yoga, philosophy, the cultural arts and theatre production.
Bridgette Samaroo is the firm’s dedicated, dependable, and dynamic Office Manager and Executive Assistant to our Managing Partner. She plays a critical role in not only supporting the firm’s legal professionals but in ensuring the effective functioning of the firm’s day-to-day operations.
After graduating from high school, Ms. Samaroo pursued her Bachelors of Law from the University of London, which she obtained with Honours during her first year at the Firm. Simultaneously, she acquired a Certificate in Paralegal Studies as well as a Professional Certificate in Office Administration.
Ms. Samaroo keeps herself updated with the latest advancements in legal technology and practices and actively seeks opportunities for professional growth and development. This allows her to effectively use digital tools and applications to enhance productivity and to streamline processes within the firm.
Beyond her role, Ms. Samaroo is an avid reader who enjoys travelling and has a passion for the culinary arts, she also serves as a volunteer member of the Trinidad and Tobago Red Cross Society (TTRCS).
